Here is my RESUME
About me
As a problem-solver with 3+ years of experience in the software development industry, I am passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in information science at UIUC, and working as an intern at Tesla, where I am developing software and data dashboards to help the cell manufacturing team identify operations/quality issues and accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. My competencies include full stack development, data engineering, data visualization, cloud computing, and proficiency in Python/Typescript/SQL, network protocols, and more. Feel free to connect with me and send me a message if you would like to collaborate or discuss opportunities! I am always open to new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.

Experiences
-
Tesla, Inc. (Aug.2022 - May. 2023)
During my time at Tesla, I had the opportunity to work on a web-based data platform utilizing React, TypeScript, and Python FastAPI. The goal of this platform was to identify operational and quality issues while standardizing yield and throughput reporting across multiple factories located in California, Texas, and Berlin.
Working closely with product managers, I played a crucial role in building ETL pipelines and tools using Python, Apache Airflow, and SQL. These pipelines allowed us to perform data quality and integrity checks on over 180GB of raw data, resulting in a remarkable 20%+ increase in yield within a single quarter.
To further optimize performance, I focused on improving the website's speed. Through query optimization, refactoring front-end code, and optimizing back-end APIs, we achieved a remarkable 12x improvement in website performance.
As a leader in the software development enhancement initiative, I successfully implemented unit tests and integration tests, providing coverage for over 70% of the backend APIs. I also set up TypeScript typing to prevent page crashes in production and transformed frontend elements into reusable and scalable components. This initiative significantly improved the overall reliability and stability of the system.
-
UnitedHealth group (OptumLabs) (May.2022 - Aug. 2022)
During my time at UnitedHealth Group's OptumLabs, I successfully implemented several key initiatives to improve data processes and efficiency.
First, I developed a Java application that significantly reduced data ingestion time by 90%. This application allowed for efficient and streamlined downloading of data from the Qualtrics API, enabling faster access to important data for analysis and decision-making.
In addition, I automated the deployment and management of databases using Docker and Liquibase. This automation resulted in a 12.5% reduction in manual processing time, freeing up valuable resources and allowing the team to focus on more critical tasks.
-
International Integrated Systems,Inc. (Oct.2020 - Jan. 2021)
Previously, I worked as a Python backend engineer at International Integrated Systems, Inc. in Taiwan. My job involved designing web back-end functions for the Central Weather Bureau. I developed functions and ETL data pipelines using Python and SQL, which led to the application being pushed to production. Additionally, I helped my team visualize and document 4 Restful APIs using Django Swagger.
-
Titansoft Pte Ltd. (Oct.2018 - Sep.2020)
Prior to joining IISI, I worked as a Cloud Engineer at Titansoft Pte Ltd., a software development company based in Singapore. At Titansoft, I actively participated in the Agile Development process and provided prompt and precise network solutions to the development team.
Additionally, I gained extensive experience in managing a large number of physical and cloud servers, totaling over 2000, and became well-versed in Linux environments, CI/CD practices, and shell scripting.
Moreover, I spearheaded the development of several projects for my department, including the implementation of Outgoing Traffic Proxy Servers on GCP and AWS. These projects significantly reduced manual workload by more than 90% in terms of outbound traffic management for my team.
